Happy New
Year, and welcome back! We hope you and your families had a wonderful winter
break filled with rest, fun, and special moments. It has been so nice having
the students back in the classrooms. We jumped right into learning and had a
fantastic first week of the new year.
This week,
our learning theme focused on Arctic animals, and the students were fully
engaged across all subject areas.
In Language Arts, we read stories and explored new vocabulary related to Arctic animals, discussing how they survive in cold environments. The students enjoyed sharing what they already knew with the help of felt pieces and asking thoughtful questions.
In Science, we had a hands-on experiment making snow slime! This activity was a big hit, helping students explore textures, changes in materials, and follow step-by-step directions, all while having fun.
In Math,
students worked on identifying and creating patterns, using winter- and
Arctic-themed examples to make learning meaningful and engaging.
We also
spent time on art and craft, where students created their own Arctic animals
and used watercolor painting to bring them to life. Their creativity and effort
were wonderful to see, and the classroom was filled with colorful artwork.

It was a
fun, busy, and exciting week of learning, and we are looking forward to all the
great things ahead in the coming weeks. Thank you for your continued support,
and we are excited to start the new year together!
