Hello EES families!
This week, we have focused on learning about Earth and different ways we can take care of our planet.
We practiced sorting waste and recycling materials through games, visuals and songs. We talked about little thing everyone can do to make our planet cleaner. We all can start with cleaning after ourselves and our classroom.
In Language Arts, we worked on new vocabulary connected to Earth Day. We matched words and pictures, played interactive games and found these new words in sentences.
In Math, we continued practicing addition using blocks and other manipulatives. We loved the song about Gus the Plus. Singing about numbers is the best way to memorize important math facts and rules.
In Science, we discussed the important role of trees and plants for our planet, and what they need to grow. After learning, we enjoyed planting our own flowers (real ones and also plastic ones). In the next few weeks, we will observe the changes and growth our plants will make.
