Hello Families,

We have had another busy week in EES!  The students have continued their learning about arctic animals, which can be seen in their artwork, science, fine motor skills practice and language arts.  In language arts, the students have been working on sentence writing using adjectives to describe arctic animals, and labelling the parts of their bodies.  In math, we have been learning about telling time and reading clocks, as well as number sequencing and counting.  In science lessons, the students have explored textures, magnets and sensory play using arctic animals.  

Thankfully, the weather has gotten much warmer! However, this means that the playground is very icy and wet.  Please ensure that your child has spare clothes in case they get wet outside, and boots that will help them over the slippery pavement.

Families can now view online student report cards.  Parents and Guardians will sign in to MyCBE to view student information, including report cards, comments from your child’s teacher, assignments and grades, and attendance information. For best access to information, log in to the MyCBE portal instead of using the PowerSchool App.  Year Books McKenzie Towne School 2023/24 Yearbook ordering is now live! Fun Lunch is only for grades 1-4 and our EES students. Orders are accepted 1 week prior to the day. Go to healthyhunger.ca Log into you existing account or create a new one. Add your child’s information in the “add child” box – name, province, city, school, grade and class. All Fun Lunches will then populate – select the order now button! Please make sure to send a morning snack with your child on Fun Lunch Days.
