Hello EES families!
What a beautiful and sunny week we had! The children were thrilled to spend extra time outdoors, not only during recess but also for gym activities. From exciting chase games to throwing balls and riding bikes, everyone enjoyed the fresh air, movement, and fun with friends. It was wonderful to see so many smiling faces outside!
In Language Arts, we began our exciting Insects Unit! The class explored different kinds of insects and learned about their special features. We talked about how to recognize insects when we see them outside and discovered what makes insects unique.
In Math, we continued building our addition skills by practicing different strategies, including using ten frames/base ten models to help solve problems. The students worked hard to practice their math skills and strengthen their number sense.
During UFLI, we focused on the -ng sound and practiced hearing and pronouncing it in words such as thing, ring, king, biking, and walking. The students enjoyed listening for the sound in words and practicing it during our reading activities.
It was a week full of learning, laughter, and outdoor fun!

Fun Lunch is only for grades 1-4 and our EES students.
