Dear EES families!
This week, our theme was Community Signs. Although we were unable to go out into the community to practice recognizing signs in real-life settings because of the significant amount of rain, we still had a wonderful time learning about them through a variety of engaging activities.
Students explored different community signs through stories, interactive games, and matching activities. These experiences helped them learn the meaning of common signs and understand how signs help keep us safe and informed in our daily lives.
In Math, we continued to work on our money recognition and counting skills. Students practiced identifying coins and bills and counting amounts through hands-on activities and games.
During Music, students had fun playing the drums while following "Go" and "Stop" signs.
In Science, we conducted an exciting experiment called "Elephant Toothpaste." Students were amazed as they watched the colourful foam rapidly expand from the container. The experiment sparked curiosity and provided an engaging opportunity to observe a chemical reaction.
One of the highlights of our week was our roller skating experience! Students eagerly put on their roller skates and gave it their best effort. There were plenty of smiles, laughter, and a few tumbles along the way, but everyone had so much fun.
It was a fun-filled week of learning, exploring, and discovering new activities. We are proud of the students' participation and enthusiasm throughout the week!
As we head into the final two weeks of the school year, we will begin our Countdown to Summer Break! Each day will be filled with different fun activities and special events for students to enjoy. We will send the events calendar via email so that families can stay informed and join in the excitement.
