Hello EES Families,
What a
wonderful week we have had in our classrooms! With Father’s Day around the
corner, the kids got busy making homemade BBQ rubs and creating beautiful cards
to celebrate the special people in their lives. It was so sweet to watch them
carefully measure spices and think about what they wanted to write for their
dads, grandpas, and father figures.
We also
spent time connecting with the Seven Grandfathers Teachings, an important part
of Indigenous culture that reminds us to lead with love, respect, courage,
honesty, wisdom, humility, and truth. The children loved getting their hands in
the soil as we planted together, talking about what it means to care for the earth
and each other.
And to top
it all off, we treated ourselves to a little fun by making handmade ice cream!
The excitement on their faces as they shook their bags and waited for the magic
to happen was priceless.
It’s been
a week filled with laughter, learning, and special moments. Thank you for
sharing your amazing children with us- they continue to fill our days with joy.
Wishing all the incredible dads, grandfathers, uncles, and father figures a very Happy Father’s Day!
